Client: Fluff Gallery London
Project: Posters for "Beautiful and Damned" show
Portraits by: Pam Glew
"Beautiful and Damned" features a series of works by Pam Glew at the Fluff Gallery in London. The title of the show, "Beautiful and Damned", was taken from F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1922 novel, which explores the listless lives of a wealthy society during the Jazz Age. According to Pam, “the tragedy amongst the beauty is what has inspired this show, the sharp contrast between a blessed life and one that ends in scandal, hedonism or destitution”.
Our challenge when creating the posters, especially the chosen types and typesettings, was to be consistent with Pam Glew's great portrait work and thus her signature style of dyeing and bleaching vintage materials.
